        Yilan County, which sits on the Yilan Plain created by Lanyang River and other minor streams with a rough shape of triangle,  is famous for its historic site/building and traditional handicraft. As a citizen living in Taipei, I am especially fascinated by it nature scene spots and plenty of traditional cuisine. Today, my girl friend and I drove car along highway to Yilan, and our target is Houdongkeng Waterfall.

Location:

Guide: 

1. Walk in from the opposite side of the Weng Yao Chicken (甕窯雞宜蘭總店)
    從甕窯雞對面的巷子進去

一開始從甕窯雞對面的巷子走進去

2. Go along the Baishijiao Rd (白石腳路)
    沿著白石腳路一直開

交岔點會看到一個路牌寫往跑馬古道或是猴洞坑瀑布，建議車子可以停在白石腳路上的白線就不用開太裡面，怕會難停。

3. Arrive downstream of the waterfall
    馬上就抵達瀑布下游囉

往前走一段馬上就到瀑布下游了，是個完全沒有太多難走路程就可以到達的瀑布。

4. Steep stairs climbing: narrow stairs but steep!
    爬樓梯

※ Take care when it rains! (It often rains in winter in Yalan)
如果想去瀑布上游，那就要爬一段很陡峭的梯子，其實還滿累的而且下雨天要特別小心！

5. Arrive upper waterfall
    抵達瀑布上游

水質清澈，超多魚類，記得要好好愛護環境，推薦此處給大家！
